Spring Break

This last week was Spring Break and although it was a break from teaching, it wasn't a break at all. I kept myself very busy around the house...I washed all of the bedding, blankets, burp cloths, clothes, etc., prepared several meals to freeze so that after we get home, we can still have home cooked meals without all of the preparation and started packing for the hospital. Don't worry, I did get some rest in between all of the chaos I even went and got a massage!

I am now feeling pretty miserable and ready to have this little one. My hips and back bother me so badly towards the evening and make it a bit difficult to get comfortable. I'm hoping that getting back into my "normal" routine will help me be a little more comfortable. I still have 4 weeks until my due date so I could be in for a rude awakening if this doesn't get any better.

Tanner took a few belly pictures for our keepsake. Surprisingly, a few of them turned out okay. You can definitely tell there is a baby in there now! Here are a few of our favorites...

Nursery is finished!

Well, the nursery is finally complete! I am so happy with the way it turned out; now all we need is baby. As you have seen in previous posts, we've had the crib, dresser and chair for awhile now. The latest addition is the bookcase that my dad made us. Tanner painted it and then I sanded it a bit to match the other furniture. I can't believe it is all done and now we are just waiting on the arrival.

Thanks to a lot of family, friends and coworkers for showering us with all of the essentials.

We also went to the doctor today for our 34 week check up. Again, everything is moving right along and at the speed it should. My blood pressure still is good and baby is still sounding and growing healthy. I have started swelling a bit; however, it's really not much. I can still wear my rings and my feet really are only swollen from being on them all day long.

Tanner asked the doctor today how long we will wait until after my due date if baby isn't here and luckily the doctor said 7 days. So now it's official...I will have a baby within the next 6 weeks!!! Wow, that is so crazy. I remember when we first found out we were going to have a baby and it seemed like we were never going to be able to hold the little one; now we are only weeks away. So sorry Mom, we will not be having a May baby!
