Backyard Fun

This morning I thought we would beat the heat so we headed out shortly after breakfast.  G played with his water table, grill and ran around barking and acting like Roxy. :)

Playing Catch Up

Are you surprised that there is a new post???  I know, I know.  I'd like to tell you that I've been on a fabulous vacation the last few months or that I've been so busy that I didn't have a moment to blog, but in all truthfulness, all of my free time went to the highly entertaining apps on my phone (facebook, US Weekly, pinterest).  So, I'm going to try this blog-world thing again and I'm even going to start reading some of my favorite blogs again too.  I will never be like my good friends, Erica and Laura but hey, I'll give it a shot. :)

So let's get you caught up...over the last few months...
  • March 3, Tanner and I surprisingly found out we were expecting baby #2!  Once I got over the shock of the fact that I was "ruining" Tanner's 30th birthday, our "fun" vacation this summer and my organizational skills were out the window, we are elated to meet baby #2!
  • As you know, we celebrated G's 2nd birthday in April and now we are dealing with a 2 year old!  That right there should have been my excuse to not blogging for awhile.
  • May wrapped up a very exhausting year of teaching.  Since I looped up with the majority of my kindergartners, I was ready to say goodbye to this very active bunch of 7 year olds.  (Although, I still think about them all of the time!)
  • The first part of June, we took a mini vacation with some friends, Justin and Jessica Wardle to Ft. Myers, FL.  This trip was originally planned to be in the Dominican; however, like I said earlier, baby #2 changed our plans a bit.  All in all, we had a great time and I've never laughed so much in my life, thanks to Justin!
  • A couple of days upon returning home from vacation, we decided to find out what baby #2 is.  During our sono, I told the tech that I would like to guess before she told us.  Let's just say, there was no "guessing".  It was completely obvious; baby #2 is now baby BOY!!!  Another boy, how exciting!  I've always said I wanted 4 boys so I'm half way there.
  • Finally, the most recent adventure...we just returned home from a little vacation with G this time, to Omaha.  The zoo was very hot, but brought us a lot of entertainment.  Then we went to the Children's Museum.  G enjoyed himself to the fullest!  Now, we are back home and going to relax a bit before I go back to work in a month.  Sheesh, where did summer go???
So now here are a few pics to show that we actually did all of this stuff...

I woke up to this sweet sign in my yard on the last day of school from a super special student.

So Tan and I were sitting back watching G play with the other kids and commenting on the fact that the other kids were crazy and soaked.   Moments later...that was our child too.
