10 Weeks

Monday, September 21st marked the 10 week mark. I had my second doctor's appointment and was able to have my second ultrasound. The doctor tried to find the heartbeat via Doppler but said he had a difficult time finding it...I don't think he tried very hard so that we could get another ultrasound.

The first ultrasound we got was at 6 weeks and the baby was so tiny it didn't even look like a baby. My dad says that it looks like a footprint. However, during our week 10 ultrasound when the technician found the baby, I immediately said, "It's a baby!" and started to cry. I was so thrilled to see the baby and to hear it's heartbeat. Tanner was more thrilled to see it move. He said that it looked like it was doing the worm. The technician says we have a very active baby (I can't wait to start feeling the kicks!).

According to all of the books and websites, this week our baby is the size of a prune. Seems pretty tiny, but is definitely growing rapidly.

Likes and Dislikes:
Before we even found out we were pregnant, I started craving onion rings. This is still happening; however, Tanner told me I should limit them. I think he is afraid of me getting too big. Thanks honey! Chicken disgusts me and believe it or not, I have resorted to tolerating steak. My sugar addiction is no longer there and have become a salty person. (According to the wives tales, we may be in for a boy!)
