Birthday Weekend

What a crazy birthday weekend!  Tanner and I took off Friday to spend Grif's birthday with him.  We decided to venture up to Crown Center to eat at Fritz's and then see the Easter Bunny.  He LOVED the trains at lunch and then we went to visit the Big Bunny Rabbit.  Judging by the visit to Santa, Tanner and I were a bit skeptical, but it went perfectly!  Thanks to Grandma Ginny for teaching him what a bunny does, he sat on the bunny's lap, looked at him then said, "hop, hop, hop".  Too cute!  No tears this time...yay!

His party was on Saturday and was a great success.  It was a sock monkey theme, complete with a candy buffet, cake pops, cupcakes and cake.  Lots of family and friends enjoyed the day with us.  Thanks to everyone that came and helped celebrate his day.  I do have to admit that all of my early planning paid off and I was not a stressed out mess!  (Thank goodness)  Everything went just the way I had imagined.  Now to start thinking of ideas for birthday number 2!

Here are a few pics from the party...

Easter morning!  The Easter Bunny paid a visit to Griffin and delivered a basket of goodies and hid balls (eggs) all over the house.  He was a little bit into the hunt, until he realized his new toys were out too, so the eggs were boring compared to his birthday toys.
